Are You Overriding Your Needs? Let’s Change That
Are you used to overriding your needs—pushing yourself to the limit until exhaustion hits? If you’re like most women, the answer is probably yes.
We’ve been conditioned to put others first, to keep going no matter how tired we are, and to ignore the subtle (or not-so-subtle) signs that our bodies are begging us to slow down.
But what if you started asking yourself a simple question every day?
“What do I need right now?”
Or:
“What does my body want today?”
“What do I need in this moment?”
Even if you can’t always give yourself what you need, just pausing to ask can create powerful shifts.
I recently shared a quick story in a video—after moving and feeling completely drained, I asked myself what I needed. The answer? Rest. So, I took a short 20-minute nap. That tiny act of self-care completely recharged me and allowed me to continue my day with renewed energy.
The truth is, listening to our bodies—even for just a few moments—can pay huge dividends over time. Imagine what might happen if you started to honor your needs more consistently.
Want to learn how to stop saying yes to everything and start putting yourself first—without guilt?
